Want to use Kialo directly within Google Classroom? With the new Kialo Discussion add-on, you can!
Google Classroom users can now take part in Kialo discussions within Classroom, without having to create Kialo accounts. Make your Classroom discussions even more inclusive and thoughtful!
Installing Kialo in Google Classroom
Administrators using Google Workspace for Education Plus or the Teaching and Learning upgrade can either install Kialo Discussion directly, or allow teachers to install it themselves. Simply head to Kialo’s Google Workspace Marketplace page and press the Install button in the top-right.
Alternatively, search for “Kialo” in the Explore add-ons menu when creating an assignment in Google Classroom.
Once Kialo has been installed, teachers can select Kialo as an add-on when creating an assignment.
Same Kialo, new platform
After teachers attach Kialo as an add-on to an assignment, they will need to select or create the discussion that students will take part in. In the window that opens, you can create a new discussion by pressing +New or choose one of your existing ones.
Once you’ve set up your discussion, students can join it through the classwork section of their class. Clicking on the attachment will open Kialo in Google Classroom with the students already signed in. Seamless!
